This website has been launched by Sunny Harbour Cat & Kitten Rescue (Registered Scottish Charity SC041871) in December 2010 to help you, the public in finding a new home for your cat or kitten with advice from a dedicated cat rescue organisation.
Space within any rescue establishment is of a premium and at times we have to turn away non emergency cases to enable us to give critical care to those cats in most need. As a result many people we have spoken to feel they have no choice other than to place adverts on free ad sites, which can lead to all kinds of issues, not least - how do you know who you are rehoming your cat to is really who they say they are? how do you know that the person taking your cat isn't going to breed or sell them on again or worse?
This website has been constructed in such a way as to provide you with;
a) a means by which to let people know that you need to find a new home for your cat or kitten and;
b) To provide advice on how best to approach, query and check as best you can that the home you choose for your family cat or kitten is the right one .
If you have any questions on how best to use this site or wish to speak to someone regarding your cat, help with behaviour related issues or support in rehoming your cat then please contact us on the Cat Care Advice Line.
This service is primarily focussed on our catchment area of the East Central Scotland community in particular Fife, Edinburgh, Lothians, Tayside and Kinross & Perth.
